Today was our last regular visit with Mila Gayle before "gotcha day". Our daily commute to her orphanage includes about twenty-five minutes of walking and twenty-five minutes on the Metro, one way. We enjoy our brisk walk and metro ride each day, but we are more than ready to have her with us full-time. The picture below is our walking path leading up to the orphanage gate.
This mama and papa are counting the days until we can spend more than two hours a day with this precious little gift. We can't wait for our children at home to meet her, and it won't take long for her to wrap them around her cute little finger. She is so tiny. I brought 24 mo. clothing for her, and the pants are too long.
Her personality is already blossoming, and her different looks just crack me up. It'll be such a blessing to watch her explore her new world. Please pray for her transition out of the orphanage. Of course, this is the only "home" she's ever known. All of the new sights and sounds are likely to be overwhelming and scary.
Now, it's time to shift our focus onto Kathleen. We leave tomorrow for her region, and will be reunited with her Sunday. We have court Tuesday afternoon. This evening I was packing up my clothes and discovered that my court outfit is missing in action. After arriving back in Gayle's region, we moved two times within the first week. I guess in the rush of it all, I left it hanging in the closet of our previous apartment. Oh well! Hopefully the judge won't make her ruling based on my attire.
We will continue to update as long as we have Internet access. Thank you to all who continue to pray for our journey. We're almost in the home stretch.
YAY!! Almost done!! I can't wait to see both of your girls in your arms!! Will you be taking Mila to meet her sister on your visits? :)
