The days are ticking by quickly, and we are getting closer to our first "gotcha day". As I'm sitting here typing, I can't believe this adoption journey began a little more than eight months ago. We should pick up our court decree for Mila on 1/12, and will take her from the orphanage on either 1/12 or 1/13. We are down to only eight or nine days, and she will finally be with us. No words can express our excitement. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter each day.
On 1/7, we plan to leave by train to Kathleen's region (four train rides to go). We had hoped to go sooner, but due to an upcoming holiday (Orthodox Christmas) weekend we couldn't get train tickets. We will visit with her Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday morning. We then have court Tuesday afternoon. We will visit her again Wednesday morning, and then return back to Mila's region on Wednesday to finish up necessary paperwork.
Shortly after Mila's "gotcha day" we will all travel back to Kathleen's region to wait out the remainder of the ten day waiting period. There is a great possibility that we could return home the weekend of 1/28. We continue to praise God for this journey. Please continue to cover us in prayer as we finish this mission our Father in heaven has called us to.
Praying that you have a wonderful gotcha day and make it home safe and sound with your beautiful girls!!
