Katelyn Needs a Family

She was at the same orphanage as Gayle, but apparently has recently been transferred from the baby house.

I am convinced that it is the Lord's Will for a family within His Church to step forward in faith and adopt her...

May the Lord will lead a person to this blog post, or to her profile on Reece's Rainbow, and may they respond in obedience to Him who had adopted us first...

Oh, sweet Katelyn. I was so sad to see that she'd been transferred. I'm agreeing with you in prayer that her family finds her soon!

The orphan crisis: what can we do to help?

Learn about struggles of orphaned children then share what you learn with others. A simple Google search on the phrase "Orphan Care" will get you started.

Pray. Ask for the Lord's protection and provision for these little ones. Pray for them to be rescued. Pray for families who are adopting. Pray for the governments of the countries where they reside. Pray for the people devoting their time and energy to finding families and for those who visit the orphanages and minister to the orphans.

Adopt. Open your heart and your home to a child in need of a family. One statistic I read said that if 6-7% of Christians would adopt that would provide homes for all of the adoptable orphans. I don't know if that statistic is accurate. Look into it and see what you learn.

Advocate. Pick a child and hold them up for the world to see. Share pictures and any information you can get. Let everyone see that this child is a real child who needs a real family. Raise funds for the child's adoption.

Support. Put money into child grants on Reece's Rainbow. Give to an adopting family. Sponsor an orphan. Support missionaries who visit orphans and show them the love of Christ.
